The Importance of Reducing US Presence in the Middle East
Danny Cevallos: A lot of people on Capitol Hill across the US and in some other think tanks in DC as well think that a reduced US presence in the region would be a very positive thing. He says one of the opportunities of a lighter presence would be more a redefinition of the value add that the United States brings to international relations. Cevallo: Europe has essentially had to try and do this, it previously played a much bigger role in the region. But what is the true European value add? I don't really know.
