What Is Universalism?
Taylor: One thing I'll give to universalism is that it's not positing a sort of incompatibleism between human freedom and divine causality. If God wanted everyone to be safe, they would all be saved. It just seems to me that revelation says otherwise. The difficult thing is that this means that God could save all and doesn't. But ultimately, that seems to be a necessary doctrine and the traditional doctrine.
