If we deny ourself and follow jesus, we end up instead motivated by love. The life long journey is to become the kind of person for whom every action is motivated by love - not just loving. In all my close relationships with my lovely wife, down here, with his children, i find that it is a daily fight between my fleshs desires just to do whatever the hecki want, and the spirit's desire in me that is deeper. That is the undercurrent of a river. Beliath the subterranean flora to will the good of another ahead of my own.
