The Relationship Between Thermodynamics, Active Inference, and the Free Energy Principle

There were disputes during a Zoom call about the relationship between thermodynamics and active inference. It sounds an awful lot like when we talk about systems that are self-organizing according to principles of thermodynamics. So it's more about, I think it's less about thermodynamics and more about thinking of making active inferences about how to sustain the system. That's where the conversation went. But it was interesting to hear them talk about the free energy principle as a way of explaining systems.
