Are We Ready to Be Bummed?

In one experiment, participants were randomly assigned to see either a ly beneficial equality enhancing policy condition. In the next experiment, they wanted to get rid of the harm misperception by changing whether the resource was presented as unlimit or finiten. They found that even with the addition of these explicit statements about society benefits and harms, people perceived the equality enhancing policy to harm the in group.
