Time Sensitive

CHAPTER

Craft in American History

i read your new book as a form of time travel through craft. What i found particularly interesting is how in such clear terms it shows this nation's legacy of raceism, sexism and economic inequality. Craftspeople are being steadily disempowered from the halls of influence to positions of political power,. So not coincidentally, that means that people who are themselves disempowered by virtue of their ethnicity or gender, or both, often find themselves in the position of being artisans.
