More than half of all Native American children in the United States who are adopted are actually placed outside of their families and communities. And that doesn't even deal with the fact that they are still more likely to be removed from their home initially by these state child welfare systems. Iqwa says that CPS can't knock on your door and take your kid from your home just because you are Native American, that is not the stage at which it intervenes. So, you know, the background system that is feeding into this, these state child Welfare systems, that's not displaced. It never has been by Iqwa.
