The Old Testament Is Not the Old Testament

The Old Testament is just simply a bad label. It discourages believers from studying the Hebrew Bible or studying the Bible of Jesus as authoritative scripture. This was a book that was not only authoritative, but was crucial for identifying Jesus as the Messiah. Even if you look at the book of Hebrews, which is really interesting, there is an old covenant. And so again, first problem, it's a tag that identifies the entire book with one covenant, but there are many covenants in that book.
