The Lord of the Rings
Tolkin was a bit of a platonist in the sense that the platonic forms are the absolute and essential essence of things. And everything in the lord of the rings is essentially itself. All three protagonists, in one sense, die. Gandalp literally dies and resurrects,. aragorn goes through the path the dead and dies to his old life. And frodo has to die to the shire. He dies to save the shire - very christlike. Christ gave up his life so that we cold have it. That's why i believe in original sin. Of course.
