The US Secretary of State's Visit to Beijing

Despite 12 interest rate rises from our central bank, the economy remains remarkably resilient. The jobless rate fell to 3.6%, despite all the rate rises and the pressure to slow the economy. It's now looking as though the Reserve Bank of Australia will have to deliver more rate rises - which means that we most likely will end up in a recession by the end of the year. And think about China, because the rivalry between the world's two major powers has been rising in recent years. There is very little expectation of progress on what is a long line of disputes between the United States and China.
