What Did Europe Learn From World War II?
The 20s and 30s had a series of crises that led to the rise of authoritarian dictatorships. How did European countries prevent similar crises from also producing dictatorships? The Eastern Bloc things were far better than they have been in the 20s and30s so that this was the platform for sounder sounder political framework. Europe itself learned from the ultra nationalism of the interwar period and from the destruction that brought about in the Second World War.
