The first chat bot was the eliza chatbot, 19 sixties. And this actually contributed to one of those first a i winters. Alexa is really not that much better at intent than eor kathling or terminator. But what we've learned from these past a i winners is that we are stuck right now because where were stuck with general intelligence? We didn't have enough power and compute power for data science. Well, that's been solved; it's time to move on.
