The Importance of Sense Making
sense making is a reflection of how what's happening is fitting into certain categories that are shaping us. It's as though those categories are like filters. And so there's an elaborate set of filters. So we have just something that's happening around us. Maybe we're in a meeting and somebody gives a funny look, they raise their eyebrow and maybe their mouth rate. But by the time we're aware of it, we already are in an interpretation of what that means. We relate to that interpretation as though that's what's happening.
