Love Is Not Just About Love, It's About Love

Love gives us the security to demonstrate and reveal all kinds of dynamics that we hide from everybody else. We seem to treat our partners worse than we would treat people we really loathe. I have daily demonstrations of this with my own children, who sometimes behave in absolutely foul ways. Most modern parents spend an inordinate amount of time trying to reassure their children that they are loved,. And in return, they'll get some pretty awful behaviour back.
