Angela Davis' Autobiography: The New Kid on the Block

In her autobiography, Angela Davis recalls calling up some of the local leaders to see how she could get involved. She decided an alternative way to get involved would be to start her own Black Student Union on campus. The organization was also a part of the LA Black Congress. It earned her envy and scrutiny from her Black male counterparts who felt she was overstepping.
