Recovered Memory in the Satanic Panic
The term recovered memory is so broad, and, i think, has so many different meanings it the gid. Caset could mean that you have a therapist who repeatedly hypnotizes you, asks you to just keep talking and say whatever comes to mind. And this was a trend that happened in the eighties where therapists were trained with this idea That if you are facked up, to use the clinical terminology, then there's some kind of memory of drama that you have buried or something like that. We want to believe anything long as it will result in a conviction.
