The Invasion of Democracy in Israel
The role of Sotrim courts is the invasion of democracy. I have defended in my work the need for strong forms of judicial review when it comes to the basics of democratic institutions. Israel is a very unique case, again, because we don't have a constitution and in addition. We did not separate religion from politics or religion from national rule. It goes beyond that in a way that really starts to threaten these democratic institutions. Otherwise, we shall lose it.
