Personal Finance - What Does Your Mission Statement Have to Do With Personal Finance?

JD: Most people don't really have particular direction in their lives. People just kind of move aimlessly through life, reacting to things and maybe planning a little bit ahead. But the people who do decide that they have a goal can help provide focus and direction to whatever it is you're doing. If your goal is to travel across the United States next year, for example, I want to leave here, leave Portland, buy, use travel trailer and travel across the U.S., interviewing people as I go. That goal keeps me focused.
