The Politics of Housing for People With HIV AIDS in the Mid to Late 80s
In the mid to late 80s, New York City's housing landscape is a really fragmented one. Landlords are incentivized to evict old tenants and turn over their housing or kind of frame it as luxury housing. The J51 tax credit or the SRO conversion law do structurally change the grounds of housing in New York because these traditional sites of low income housing are not good housing often.
