The Debt-Credit Relationship
The development of micro-finance in India recently now has some 12 million individuals hooked into having to pay off loans by producing as much value as they possibly can. If they can't do so or actively refuse, then their assets often land in property are foreclosed upon. This is the famous trick of the South Prime Mortgage. Partly not debt-unvulnerable and marginalized population is, in short, the way to discipline the boroughs into being productive laborers.
