Debate Is Not the Only Way in Which We Can Disagree Better
John Avlon: Debate is not the only way in which we can disagree. There are instances where simply sharing our views might be appropriate, or having kind of, you know, jouling perspectives presented but not in a kind of an adversarial debate format may be more appropriate. But that's not to say we shouldn't talk about those issues. It's that we shouldn't debate about them. He says his favorite part of every debate was when people who had just been through were on a high after changing their minds.
