The study looked at the difference between episodic and thematic news coverage. It used two different frames, an episotic frame and a thematic frame. Episodic framing basically means that they are often perceived less complex by readers or viewers. A personal interest frame could also be a way to understand what episodic basicl means. But it's very much on specific events and individuals. And in comparison, matic frame puts events mostly into context. This provides information that are often perceived as more complex.
