Aristotle was the first person to talk about argumentative thought and persuasion. There's a rhetorical triangle that he calls ethos, pathos and logos. The emotional appeal is what we need to be able to connect emotionally in what drives behavior. You can have great ethos but if you don't have you have no pathos, we can't connect. And so we want you to see this as the book as a playbook. This is a guide as a reference manual to kind of go along with the book.
