The NBA Shouldn't Tie Awards to Contracts
"I don't think it's fair to anybody that votes. It's not fair to the players either," he says of awards tied to contracts. "What they should tie it to is the incentives that, you know, guys can sign benchmark like incentive, laden contract." He adds: "If my team makes it to the second round of the playoffs, if I get the third round of the bus, I saw one the other day and I was like, whoa, what?"
