The Benefits of Alternative Proteins

Livestock are responsible for between 14 and a half and 18% of all greenhouse gases on our planet. So to the extent that we can replace animal meat in various products with lower carbon alternatives, it's a benefit. And insects are a very low carbon alternative in part because they're cold blooded.
