The Silent Spring of the Environmental Movement

The original environmental movement was really about cleaning up the environment. And then eventually we had the NEPA rules, which we can talk about some other time perhaps. But at a certain point, they really became co terminus, a lot of the environmental organization signed on to anti nuclear activity and policy positions. So that paradoxically worsens air quality with coal plants being built instead of nuclear plants.
