Ramona's car breaks down and she can't call her mom or dad. She eats yogurt chicken to make herself feel better, but no one else gets sick. Ramona falls asleep on the taxi ride home from school because she doesn't want to be a nuisance. The book is now in its second season at PBS stations across the country.

We've talked about National Treasure Beverly Cleary on the show before, but we haven't spent time with her most indelible character, one Ramona Quimby.
