The Importance of Conversations in a Budget Process
The most valuable output from a well run budget process are the conversations. Anybody with two hands and a keyboard, and you don't even need two hands, anybody with a computer can build a spreadsheet. And that's where the narrative is super helpful because not everybody thinks of things as a spreadsheet. It's getting those earned secrets out of your leaders and having the conversation around them. Otherwise you might as well just hire another banker to build your financial model for you.
