How Much Silver Was Flowing Northwards?

A lot of precious metal was finding its way to northern europe. In 991 a viking army collectedt ten thousand pounds of silver, that's more than three tons of silver from the english. And in a later rate, in thousand and seven, they collected as much as 13 point five tons. A very large proportion of the portable wealth that they can assemble that's sometimes being paid out to these armies.
