Speaker 1
Hey everybody and welcome back to another podcast. This is Time and Attention is the name of this podcast. This is episode number 138, Tactics That Haven't Stuck. Your
Speaker 2
intro reminded me of Steve Martin in Only Murders in the Building on their podcast. Why? Because he occasionally does these like over-exaggerated enunciations too. Oh,
Speaker 1
I didn't realize I was. Yeah. It is good to have you back.
Speaker 2
Yeah, it's been a little bit.
Speaker 1
Did you hear me raw-dogging it last week? Is
Speaker 2
that the right term?
Speaker 1
I think that's what it means when you do a podcast by yourself.
Speaker 2
It was lonely. Yeah. And I think my takeaway was you need me here. Oh,
Speaker 1
wow. I would say that's true in general, especially after traveling for like two months. I don't know how much I was at home over those two months, but it is so nice to be back home right now.
Speaker 2
It is nice to have you back.
Speaker 1
Yeah. Though Poland is nice. Gothenburg is nice.
Speaker 2
Yeah, you spent a lot of time in Poland.
Speaker 2
Why not? So bizarre. But
Speaker 1
there's so many times. Poznan is a wonderful city.
Speaker 2
Yeah. Yeah. It looked lovely.
Speaker 1
Yeah. I wish you could have been there.
Speaker 2
Me too, but I got lots of work done. We could have.
Speaker 1
Why get work done when you can be podcasting in Poznan? Because
Speaker 2
I've got to get tenure. That
Speaker 1
is a fair point.
Speaker 2
And summer is prime working time.
Speaker 1
It is. It is. And I have a question for you, a co-host. Yes. Nice to see somebody in the flesh. He's
Speaker 2
literally touching my face.
Speaker 1
So my question for you, wife, is how often would you say that you follow the advice that we give on this podcast? You know, there's a lot of sources of advice out there. And a lot of times when I hear something, I think like, okay, this person gives a lot of advice. Often it conflicts with advice they've given in the past. What do they even do here? Are they just talking about this stuff? Are they doing it? So we wanted to devote an episode to the things that have maybe fallen by the wayside of it and talk about how just difficult it can be to follow through with these things 100% of the time and how aspirational it is sometimes. But how often would you say you follow through with the advice we give?
