The Negative Effects of Rent Growth in the Multifamily Space

A lot of these syndicators just projected that rental growth was going to go on indefinitely. And now that they're actually seeing a decline, the whole model breaks down because it was built even their worst case scenario might have been flat growth. But there's all sorts of negative things that come when you see tea climbing rent growth. I'm very focused on basis on the building. Usually, we'll model typically three percent and then we'll go ask for five and hopefully get four on our leases that we sign.
