The Health Effects of the Government's Violation of English
I worry that when there are sort of authoritarian tendencies or the desire to consolidate power, that governments look out for boogie men. And I wonder if that's playing into it in Quebec. It is very difficult in North America to preserve a language other than English and to preserve a culture other than English. But by the same token, there's like a personal part of this. Like the subtext of this is that some people are in and some people are out and some people are serving, some people aren't. The way that sugar Sami is offending us Francophones isn't funny.
