The History of Psychodelics
In the fifties and sixties, there were tens of thousands of patients treated with l st. A lot of studies did not have the same methodological rigor or ethical standards that the clinical research to day does. The use of these medicines outside the lab, and i guess even inside the lab, was thought to be a too terrifying for the establishment, essentially. And so all research was halted. But now we're arriving at an era where many exciting ongoing trials happen within the field of psychodelics.

This episode covers psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy with Dr Emma Hapke and Dr Daniel Rosenbaum, both of whom are psychiatrists at the University Health Network in Toronto and co-founders of UHN’s Nikean Psychedelic Psychotherapy Research Centre (in addition to being lecturers in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto).
