I wanted this to be an LA movie. I love Los Angeles. Originally when I wrote it, it was going to be Chicago. And then in the pandemic, it felt like so many people were shitting on L.A. and talking about these big cities are gone forever. There is a reason that we've all come to Los Angeles to make things for ever. It is the best place to film things. You have so much talent there. So in order to do that movie there, I wanted to show how beautiful it was. We're sleeping in your bed tonight. But you're not going to be in a hotel after work."
