The Battle of Harold Godwinson
A rumor spreads among the norman camp that william is dead. William, at this point, apparently took off his helmet and rode up and down through the norman lines to show that he was alive. So the normans turn around and turn on their english pursuers and simply cut them down. Now the shield wall that had been maintained for so many hours is broken. The battle comes chaos, a sort of unpredictable malae. And particularly the norman cavalry take advantage and are able to ride around, break through, surround anglo saxon fighters and pick them off. As it gets into evening and it becomes dark, the english forces simply melt away into the country.
