How Do You Know What You're Talking About in Class?

A friend of mine, Jonathan Stern, who teaches Media Studies at McGill University, 400 students. He has students fill out a little index card saying what thing did we talk about in class? And because he has 400 students in the STAs with discussion sections, he divides these up to the TAs so they can see what their 20 students were interested in that day. It's very relevant to those students in a powerful way.
