The Federal 340B Drug Discount Program - A Federal Court Decision in Favor of Three Drug Manufacturers

Three-judge panel sided with Sanofi, Novo Nordisk and AstraZeneca on Monday in their suit against the Department of Health and Human Services. The drug manufacturers alleged that the increasing number of contract pharmacies being used by 340B organizations is leading to both duplicate discounts on the same drug and illegal drug diversion. Rates for Medicare Advantage plans will rise by 2.09% next year, according to an advance notice released Wednesday by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
