The Golden Age of India

The seed in matura is a city that, although it was under the rule of a hindu dynasty, it continued to be largely buddhist. And you can see the influences, the non violence, the vegetarianism from buddhism and gianism that pervaded much of the country. So this may be an idealized portrait, but arguably there was a remarkable golden age here in northern india in the early four hundreds. But this would not last forever. After about 455, the huns began to attack again. This danger of nomadic people on horseback attacking, taking advantage of this difficult, indefensible position in the middle of the gangettic plain.
