Is the Civil Rights Movement Using New Technologies?
Campaigns are using new technologies to do something not very new. It's just, you know, retrofitting it to a new, a new form. The civil rights movement didn't achieve their success by necessarily innovating with a new technology, but rather manipulating an existing one. And so through the manipulation of really powerful media events, they were able to change and at least broaden the political narrative.
