The Evolution of the Human Shoulder Girdle
The human shoulder girdle is maybe less well adapted to performing activities for prolonged periods of time with power and elevation. The modern human clavicle is quite a flat bone, whereas if we compare it to the chimpanzee clavicle in the chimpanzee has an upward flare on its lateral end. And there are lots of muscular changes as well, which also suggests that the modern human shoulder functions very well for manipulation inside our visual field.
