Democrats are more afraid of the thought of untrammeled Republican role, especially if you live in a red state or outside a major city. The media serves this role of discipline, disciplining the left and limiting the overton window. It's like Nick Fuentes and Kanye West who are like, we love Nazis. They're super based. And so you get, you get super far right.
