How to Write a Great Dialogue for Your Readers
When we read our own work, we always imagine densa washington or meril street performing the dialogue. But you need to remember that your readers may not do you the favor of imagining those actors. Your goal is to never flip that switch and unleash master thesbian on the rest of your dialogue. If you give them no hammy lines, they can't picture a hammy actor. Be ungenerous with your dialogue. Try to hate it, and then work on it until it's hard to hate No matter how hard you try.
