One of em more closely matched einstein predictions, and this i didn't know till i dug into this as a historian of science. The other one more closely matched newton's predictions. We can't reinvent the well every time, because we don't want to be tainted by any biasesoff what's gone before. Sometimes you have to acknowledge that smart people have done a lot of hard work, and y have to trust what they did is right.
