The Excessive Detail Problem in Stories

Excessive detail is a problem in stories, especially when writing about people. Mike and Akash decide to do an experiment even while the teacher is speaking. They are like, oh we did it, we're done with the experiment. All of that walking through didn't help, did it. Excessive numbering or excessive numbers and names also causes problems.
