So therefore it's not surprising that Leclav works with Schmidt and why he turns to Maki-Avelian, so on. With Polances, it ultimately becomes unclear whether there is a ruling class, or if there is a kind of constant vine for different hegemonic blocks. And I'm like, well, that's fair enough, because that does describe something real and you aren't abandoning Marxism for it. Now, I do think Marxists do need to take elite theory more seriously
