Are You Staying Away From the Big Sin?
Temptations come in pairs. So I can say, well, I'm staying away from the big sin, but I'm not staying awayfrom the thing that leads me to the big sin. Why resist temptation in the future if I can eliminate the option right now? That's what Lent is so much all about. Some of the things we give up for Lent are disconnected from our actual spiritual lives.
