Using Parallax to Navigate in Space

A spacecraft might be able to take advantage of parallax to navigate autonomously. It compares its view of the stars with the map of how the stars look from earth, and by seeing how the angles have changed, could work out its position. The method relies on only measuring the angles between pairs of stars as wile you know which stars those are,. That's sufficient to use in this navigation method. You don't need absolute longitude and latitudes.
