The Action Potentials in the Nervous System

Nervous system probably evolves from secretory cells. Secretory cells secrete horbones when they are exposed to chemicals or something else going on in the body. These hormones diffuse away, and they may bind preceptors at some distance from the cell. What ons invented by having an axe on they essentially could do their secretory process on a few very specific cells a long way away,. skipping everything in between. This is essential, for example, in the control of muscles from the spinal d where you have neurons that go from the spinal cord to synaps on the muscles. And then very complicated computations can be done, like are done in a computer, to generate very complicated behaviors
