Deep Learning Is Not the Only Technology for Self-Driving Vehicles
So far self-driving companies rely on pre-computed maps of the road, right? And also rely heavily on GPS signals. On top of which of course there are a lot of handwritten rules and handcrafted rules that are usually created by engineers in order to cover more or less or you know corner cases. So it is kind of an oxymoron calling a corner case that is you know quite common. The way engineers deal with corner cases today or so far have been dealing with is by end crafting rules.
