Having a Data Science Degree Is a Cool Thing.
Having a trade is really, really a cool thing. You gain a reputation in your career by having that trade. Employers can't look at a degree and see what, you know. Whereis a tableau? Certification? A, ok, you're competent. We know what you've had to know. It's easy for employers to kind of vet what the certifications test and then really kind of assume that you have that skill set. That's awesome, but there's too much variation there.
